photograph of an oak cabinet with leaded glass representing a Heinrich Heine poem, Ein Fichtenbaum steht Here is a cabinet that was exhibited at the Scottish Furniture Makers Association's annual show, held this year in October at the Lighthouse in Glasgow. It commemorates a Heinrich Heine poem about unrequited love, although the unlikely star-crossed lovers are a pair of trees.
The cabinet has gone to a good home in Glasgow, but a new one has been commissioned featuring flowers whose love, this time, has been requited.
